National Book Review Month began at SUNY Geneseo in 2016 and was created to give readers an outlet to bring lesser known works to the forefront. To read about the first launch of NaRMo at SUNY Geneseo, please visit this press release:

Reviewers are encouraged to write reviews of between 100 and 1,000 words and submit them to the NaRMo website. Reviews are encouraged from a variety of genres, including children’s books, drama, non-fiction fiction and poetry.

The goal of NaRMO is to increase the number of book reviews of writers from all styles and backgrounds .

NaRMO is utilized as part of the SUNY Geneseo Library IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism) initiative, and in the SUNY Geneseo Common Read (CMRD 101) course offering.
